Here's a cute picture of me and Blake on my birthday. (Blake says I never mention him, so I'm mentioning you now, sweetheart.) Sorry about the PDA, but he really is sweet.

I love this picture. Not just because I look good, but because it's sweet, dang it. I don't mean to boast or anything, but we're cute.

Anyway, school is crazy but fantastic. I love that I get to write and do stuff that has to do with my chosen career path. 

...The fact that I even have time to blog on here worries me, because I feel like I'm forgetting something major that's due. 

Whatever. I should enjoy this while it lasts. (It will only last until Sunday night. Boo.)

Friendship is magic!

Which reminds me, I should make some new friends or something. There should be a club for that. Cause it ain't gonna happen on its own. (That sentence was bad, I know. Roll with it. I did it to further make my point.)

New Blog

A new blog has been born for the purposes of the course MCJ102. (Introduction to Media Writing.) I will begin writing in that one soon, and I hope that my followers on here will follow. It's going to be much more uniform and way more professional looking than this one. I plan to continue blogging with it once the class is over. It will cover a variety of news that happens to be going on at the time, and hopefully it will be enlightening and witty. I love enlightening and witty things. Here's something enlightening and witty that I'd love to do: write for The Onion.

First day?

I've been going to school sporadically for the past two weeks due to hurricanes messing up the schedule and holidays also interfering with the schedule. (Not complaining about that one. Breaks are nice.) It feels like there should have been more than four total days of school so far. Alas, that is the sum of the times I've been there. Crazy. I dub tomorrow the "Official First Day of College." Seriously, I've only been to my Gender/Race/Media class twice because it's on a Monday Wednesday schedule. School started on a Wednesday, so that's one, and then the next Monday is two, and then the hurricane hits so no class that Wednesday, and finally we get Monday off for Labor Day. So tomorrow will be my third meeting.

Things are all weird. Did school really start? Sure doesn't feel like it.

I need to study grammar. I feel inadequate. Journalism/writing is making me question my sanity. Or it's making me insane. Whichever. I knew it would be difficult going in. I just need to completely focus on what I'm doing and I'll be in the groove in no time.

A note to all impending weather: please to not disrupt classes. It's stressing me out.

I'm caught up in all my classes even though I've only been there for four days! Yay!
I have to go study now.
